across the causeway
this was on monday.i.e. yesterday.hmmm. i dont know if Malaysia is truly asia, BUT! one thing is sure, the queue at the msia customs is truly LONG!!! and they have to torture us with no fan and pretty much non-existent air-con. of course, the shopaholic in me is calling out so strongly that i somehow managed to get thru' that w/o much complaints. my mind is set for higher things. *laughsjust as in all stories, something bad will happen before anything good comes. s0 yes. instead of hitting the malls right away, we went to eat duck rice. why duck rice? not as if singapore dont have right? well. i dont get it too!! so we braved the torment of the sun and the reckless driving on the roads and finally spotted the duck stall. ok. it's so prominent, you dont exactly have to spot it. here's why:
*laughs. damn big right? you should go there see it for yourself.really.reminds me of those monster in the powerpuff girls series. *laughsok. of course, like any other story, there's always the surprise or twist in the story. the duck in the stall and their beancurd...FANTASTIC! i finished a bowl of rice, even though my stomach was already cramped with ya kun kaya toast. i cant exactly describe how good it is, but really! good! probably coz the monster duck under promise, therefore the food seems to over deliver. but. TRUST me. good!but then.of course.eating is not the main body of the story and intention, so i HAD to remind everyone that we shouldnt spend too much time eating. eating is an EVERYDAY affair. get it over and done with!next is the shopping. i've got lots to say. i found out that:i feel that it's not enough.my friends feel that i spent a lot. well. of course. RM59.90 is a cursed price. i am still thinking of my pants.my feet are too gigantic. if it was a size smaller, everything will be wonderful.i should train myself to sashay in high heelsshopping isnt about buying things you need. i dont wear watches, but i cant resist.i need to go with more people who really know the art of bargaining.mickey mouse is my favourite.more shoes boutiques pls. or rather. shoes butik.metro is called metrojaya over thereVNC is called vinicci over therethe names of cold storage, coffee bean and secret receipe remains.Popular is so damn popular they have outlets there.FM93.3 can be received in JBdont ever ponder too long whether to buy something, just do it.40mins of leg massage costs RM25.worth it. it's amazing. it's foot massge, fortune telling, pain and regret all rolled into one.dinner was pale in comparison to lunch. went to their hawker. nothing much. just 3 things to comment:never look beyond the stall. you will see things like sugar cane being stored on the floor.sit cross-legged. the stray cats over there are fatter. beware.soya bean drink is retro.here's why:
ignoring the long queues, the pay-to-enter-yet-still-dirty toilets, and the overcharged (but still cheap in singapore cab fare std) taxi fare, i cant wait for the next trip.
